Ducharme, Sister Loretta (Marie-Ann), formerly Sister Mary Matthew, entered Eternal Life on December 19, 2022 in Chatham,
Ontario.
She was born in St. Joseph, Ontario in 1936, the daughter of the late William and Juliette (Denomme) Ducharme. She entered
the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham in 1954. During those years she served as a teacher in Stoney Point and Tilbury. Sister also served on the local leadership team at “The Pines”. In 1964 Sister
Loretta went to our mission in Peru. She taught at Colegio Santa Angela and ministered for many years with the people in Urrunaga and Chiclayo, Peru. She is survived by her brother Paul (Joan)
of Zurich, sister-in-law Martha Risi and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and her brothers Andrew and Matthew and her sister Letitia Hawkins.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Wednesday, December 21 at 2 p.m. in the Kiva at St. Angela’s Meadow Retirement Lodge,
20 Merici Way, Chatham. Visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by the Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 10 a.m.at Blessed Sacrament Church, 145
Victoria Avenue, Chatham.
