Angela Merici was a radical. Radical here doesn’t have to do with how far to the right or left of centre you are. Radical has to do with depth. Radical comes from roots. Angela was rooted. Where was she rooted? In love, of course. She was blessed, as we all are blessed by the words shared with the early Christians: May your lives be rooted in love. I pray that you may have your roots

How blessed we are to be in a position to respond to the challenge of Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel: Our goal should be to live life in radical amazement, to get up in the morning and look at the world in a way that takes nothing for granted. Everything is phenomenal; everything is incredible; never treat life casually. To be spiritual is to be amazed. As we live each day may we find regular times
