RYAN, SISTER FRANCES (Sheila Anne), formerly Sister Francis de Sales, entered eternal life on May 2, 2020. She entered the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham in 1948. With her roots as an educator, Sr. Frances began her ministry as a teacher and principal in Harrow, Mount Carmel, Sandwich East, and Stratford. She went on to serve as professor of sociology and principal of Brescia University College. From 1977 to 1985 she ministered as the General Superior

PRAY, SISTER MARGARET (Margaret Aimee), formerly Sister Mary Kevin, entered into Eternal Life on Thursday, March 5, 2020 in Chatham, Ontario. She was born in Windsor, Ontario in 1925, the daughter of the late Howard and Eva (Donlon) Pray. She entered the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham in 1947. During those years she served the Ursuline Community as a nurse in London, Windsor, and “The Pines”, Chatham. Sister Margaret retired from nursing in 1984 and pursued

New Canonical Sponsorship Agreement Celebrating 100 years of dedication to women’s education and the story continues. Sisters Theresa Mahoney and Marian Krauskopf, currently in ministry at Brescia, joined the ceremony this week. Brescia is celebrating a new chapter in the University’s history with a newly formed canonical sponsor, the Mother St. Anne Lachance Society. As we move forward into our next bold century, the sponsorship emphasizes continuity, allowing the University to reaffirm its Catholic identity
